Artelier Art Classes

Students will experience the traditional atelier method of art instruction. This classical approach emphasizes accuracy, observational skills, and advanced artistic techniques. Students will start with dry materials, such as graphite and charcoal, before proceeding to oil paints.

CLASS AGE

These advanced classes are offered to students 9-17 years of age with a serious concentration in art.

DURATION

Classes are 2 hours long. Classes can be attended a minimum of once a week or more often with additional scheduling.

PREREQUISITES

A review of 3-5 artworks by the student are needed to determine if they are ready for the advanced classes. A trial class to ensure they benefit from the classes will be scheduled.
